According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise: a display module; at least one camera arranged on the rear surface of the display module; a memory which stores information related to user authentication; and a processor operatively connected to the display module, the at least one camera, and the memory. The processor may perform a function for the user authentication, check facial position information of a user by using the at least one camera, check coordinate information according to a touch input from the user, which is inputted through the display module, select the at least one camera on the basis of the facial position information and the coordinate information, obtain at least one image by using the at least one selected camera, and perform the function for the user authentication on the basis of the at least one obtained image.
