The present invention provides a method for controlling a brake system based on preceding vehicle recognition and a device for the same. According to an aspect of the present invention, the device for controlling a brake system based on predicting vehicle recognition includes: a data collecting unit collecting front data and rear data of a preceding vehicle located in front of a vehicle by using at least one camera and at least one optical sensor included on the front surface of the vehicle; a driving trajectory extracting unit extracting a driving trajectory of a lane on which the vehicle is driving, by using the camera and the optical sensor; a preceding vehicle analysis unit determining driving information on the preceding vehicle based on image data collected by the camera; a preceding vehicle determining unit determining deviation of the preceding vehicle or interference of the preceding vehicle about the driving trajectory by using information about the preceding vehicle; and a control unit controlling a brake system included in the vehicle based on the determination by the preceding vehicle determining unit. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device for controlling a brake system can rapidly determine entry time of the preceding vehicle and rapidly control the brake system when there is a collision risk between the vehicle and the preceding vehicle. 본 개시는 전방차량 인식에 기반한 제동계통 제어 방법 및 장치를 제공한다. 본 개시의 일 측면에 의하면, 전방차량 인식에 기반한 제동계통 제어 장치에 있어서, 차량의 전면에 포함된 적어도 하나의 카메라 및 적어도 하나의 광학센서를 이용하여, 차량 전방에 위치한 전방차량의 전면데이터(front data) 및 후면데이터(rear data)를 수집하는 데이터 수집부(data collecting unit); 상기 카메라 및 상기 광학센서를 이용하여 차량이 주행 중인 차로의 주행궤적(driving trajectory)을 추출하는 주행궤적 추출부(driving trajectory extracting unit); 상기 카메라에 의해 수집된 영상데이터에 기초하여 전방차량의 주행정보를 결정하는 전방차량 분석부(preceding vehicle analysis unit); 전방차량에 관한 정보를 이용하여 상기 주행궤적에 대한 전방차량의 개입 또는 전방차량의 이탈을 판단하는 전방차량 판단부(preceding vehicle determining unit); 및 상기 전방차량 판단부에 의한 판단에 기초하여 상기 차량에 포함된 제동계통(brake system)을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는, 제동계통 제어 장치를 제공한다.
