The present invention relates to an energy storage system, a battery module, and a fire monitoring method for a battery module. The battery module can include: a temperature sensing device that includes a plurality of temperature sensors positioned inside a housing of the battery module and senses the temperature of a plurality of different points through the plurality of temperature sensors; a voltage sensing device for sensing the cell voltage of a plurality of cells included in the battery module; and a battery control device which senses the occurrence of a fire in the battery module based on the temperature and the cell voltage sensed at the plurality of points. 본 개시는 에너지 저장 시스템, 배터리 모듈, 및 배터리 모듈의 화재 감시 방법에 관한 것이다. 배터리 모듈은, 배터리 모듈의 하우징 내부에 위치하는 복수의 온도 센서를 포함하며 상기 복수의 온도 센서를 통해 서로 다른 복수의 지점의 온도를 감지하는 온도 감지 장치, 상기 배터리 모듈에 포함된 복수의 셀의 셀 전압을 감지하는 전압 감지 장치, 그리고 상기 복수의 지점에서 감지된 온도 및 상기 셀 전압에 기초하여 상기 배터리 모듈에서의 화재 발생을 검출하는 배터리 제어 장치를 포함할 수 있다.
