The present invention proposes a method and apparatus for inducing inter-view motion merge candidates. A method for inducing inter-view motion merge candidates according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the steps of: determining whether inter-view motion merge for a current block is possible based on encoding information of an inter-view reference block induced through the disparity vector of the current block; and generating an inter-view motion merge candidate for the current block using encoding information of an adjacent block spatially adjacent to the inter-view reference block when the inter-view motion merge of the current block is impossible. 본 발명에서는 시점 간 움직임 병합 후보 유도 방법 및 장치를 제안한다. 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 시점 간 움직임 병합 후보 유도 방법은 현재 블록의 변이 벡터를 통해 유도된 시점 간 참조 블록의 부호화 정보를 기초로 상기 현재 블록에 대한 시점 간 움직임 병합이 가능한지 판단하는 단계와, 상기 현재 블록에 대한 시점 간 움직임 병합이 불가능한 경우, 상기 시점 간 참조 블록과 공간적으로 인접한 인접 블록의 부호화 정보를 이용하여 상기 현재 블록에 대한 시점 간 움직임 병합 후보를 생성하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
