Summary: | The present invention relates to a hydroponic cultivation method of barley sprouts in which policosanol is increased and barley sprouts grown thereby. The hydroponic cultivation method of barley sprouts comprises the steps of: (A) preparing barley sprout seeds on a tray and supplying a nutrient solution so that a part of the barley sprout seeds located on the tray is immersed; (B) spraying bubbles on the barley sprout seeds in contact with purified water; and (C) irradiating LED light to the barley sprout seeds in contact with purified water for 1 to 10 hours. The method can increase the content of policosanol, which is effective for alleviating hyperlipidemia and diabetes, improving blood circulation, and alleviating hangovers and alcoholic fatty liver disease.
