| Summary: | Provided are a display device and a manufacturing method thereof. In order for a display device with a low defect rate and a manufacturing method thereof, the display device includes: a pixel electrode; a counter electrode on the pixel electrode; and an intermediate layer between the pixel electrode and the counter electrode. The pixel electrode includes: a reflective film containing a first metal; a transparent film on the reflective film; and a first barrier film interposed between the reflective film and the transparent film and having an oxide of a second metal different from the first metal.
