Summary:A three-dimensional (3D) metal object manufacturing apparatus is configured to enhance oxidation of ejected molten metal droplets for formation of a metal support structure during manufacture of a metal object using the apparatus. The oxidation is enhanced by increasing the distance between a platform supporting the metal object and an ejector head, or by providing an air flow across the direction of travel of the molten metal droplets, or by both. 3차원(3D) 금속 물체 제조 장치는 장치를 이용한 금속 물체의 제조 동안에 금속 지지 구조체의 형성을 위한 토출되어진 용융된 금속 액적의 산화를 증가시키도록 구성된다. 산화는 금속 물체를 지지하는 플랫폼과 이젝터 헤드 사이의 거리를 증가시킴으로써, 또는 용융된 금속 액적의 이동 방향을 가로지르는 공기 유동을 제공함으로써, 또는 둘 모두에 의해 증가될 수 있다.
