Summary:The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a superabsorbent polymer. More specifically, according to the method for manufacturing the superabsorbent polymer of the present invention, the content of unreacted monomers in a final product can be reduced by efficiently controlling the initiation and inhibition of a polymerization reaction. The method comprises the following steps of: performing polymerization on a composition containing a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer having an acidic group, an internal crosslinking agent, and a polymerization initiator to form a polymer in which the water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer having the acidic group and the internal crosslinking agent are crosslinked; forming a hydrogel polymer by neutralizing at least some of the acidic groups of the polymer; atomizing the polymer in the presence of a surfactant; and drying the neutralized and atomized polymer to manufacture dried superabsorbent polymer particles. 본 발명은 고흡수성 수지의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 보다 구체적으로, 본 발명의 고흡수성 수지 제조 방법에 따르면, 중합 반응의 개시 및 억제를 효율적으로 제어하여, 최종 제품 내 미반응 단량체의 함량을 줄일 수 있다.
