A welding device according to an embodiment of the present invention is a welding device including a welding rod that is configured to be inserted into a winding center hole provided in a winding center of an electrode assembly inserted into a battery can and weld an electrode tab of the electrode assembly or an electrical connection part coupled to the electrode tab to the bottom surface of the battery can. The welding rod includes: a central rod positioned at a radial center of the welding rod; and an outer cover covering an outer circumferential surface of the center rod and operably installed in a first direction away from the center rod and in a second direction closer to the center rod. Accordingly, damage to the electrode assembly and/or a separation membrane can be minimized. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 용접 장치는, 전지 캔 내에 삽입된 전극 조립체의 권취 중심에 구비된 권취 중심 홀 내에 삽입되어 상기 전극 조립체의 전극 탭 또는 상기 전극 탭과 결합된 전기적 연결 부품을 상기 전지 캔의 바닥면에 용접하도록 구성되는 용접봉을 포함하는 용접 장치로서, 상기 용접봉은, 상기 용접봉의 직경 방향 중심부에 위치하는 중심봉; 및 상기 중심봉의 외주면을 커버하고, 상기 중심봉에서 멀어지는 제 1 방향 및 상기 중심봉을 향해 가까워지는 제 2 방향으로 동작 가능하게 설치되는 외피 커버; 를 포함한다.
