A remote control request method has: requesting, by a computer (21), a remote operator (37) to remotely control an autonomous driving vehicle (20) when the autonomous driving vehicle (20) currently has or is expected to have difficulty in continuing autonomous driving; requesting remote assistance in which the remote operator (37) makes at least a part of determination for the autonomous driving inside an autonomous driving domain (ADD) in which continuous autonomous driving is possible by receiving the remote assistance; and requesting, outside the ADD, remote driving in which the remote operator (37) performs at least one of a steering operation and an acceleration or deceleration operation of the autonomous driving vehicle (20). 원격 조작 의뢰 방법은, 자동 운전 차량(20)이 자동 운전을 계속하는 것이 곤란해지는 경우 혹은 곤란해질 것이 예측되는 경우, 컴퓨터(21)가 상기 자동 운전 차량(20)의 원격 조작을 원격 조작자(37)에게 의뢰하는 것과, 원격 지원을 받음으로써, 상기 자동 운전을 계속하는 것이 가능한 자동 운전 영역(ADD) 내에서는 상기 자동 운전을 위한 판단의 적어도 일부를 상기 원격 조작자(37)가 행하는 상기 원격 지원을 의뢰하는 것과, 상기 자동 운전 영역(ADD) 외에서는, 상기 자동 운전 차량(20)의 조타 조작과 가감속 조작 중 적어도 한쪽을 상기 원격 조작자(37)가 행하는 원격 운전을 의뢰하는 것을 갖는다.
