The method can solve a problem that a mobile terminal cannot provide a path for the cleaning device to clean a room, by displaying an image of a working area of the cleaning device, the image of the working area including a plurality of images of sub-working areas; receiving a sequence setting operation acting on the images of the sub-working areas; obtaining a cleaning sequence indicated by the sequence setting operation; and displaying the cleaning path corresponding to the cleaning sequence so as to control the cleaning device. Since the cleaning sequence desired by the user can be obtained, and the cleaning path can be generated according to the cleaning sequence, the effect of providing the user with the cleaning device to clean the room can be achieved.
