본 발명은 조명부를 포함하는 이동 단말기 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 이동 단말기는, 복수의 광원으로 형성된 조명부, 상기 조명부에서 출력되어 피사체에 의해 반사된 빛을 수신하는 센서부 및 상기 복수의 광원에서 출력된 빛이 조사되는 영역을 상기 센서부를 통해 동기화하고, 기 설정된 조건에 근거하여, 상기 복수의 광원 중 적어도 하나가 발광하도록 상기 조명부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
