Summary:Disclosed are an apparatus for providing ultra-resolution VR content using a mobile device and 5G mobile edge computing/cloud (5G MEC/CLOUD) and a method using the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for providing ultra-resolution VR content allows a 5G MEC/CLOUD stitching server to acquire an image filmed by a plurality of mobile devices based on an image acquisition path set by considering a protocol and a network, generate ultra-resolution VR content corresponding to the image by performing image processing based on 5G MEC/CLOUD resources, and stream the ultra-resolution VR content to a user terminal. Accordingly, the present invention can secure accessibility and use convenience. 모바일 디바이스 및 5G MEC/CLOUD를 이용한 초고해상도 VR 컨텐츠 제공 장치 및 이를 이용한 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 초고해상도 VR 컨텐츠 제공 방법은 5G MEC/CLOUD 스티칭 서버가, 프로토콜 및 네트워크를 고려하여 설정된 영상 획득 경로를 기반으로 복수개의 모바일 디바이스들로 촬영된 영상을 획득하고, 5G MEC/CLOUD(5G MOBILE EDGE COMPUTING/CLOUD) 리소스를 기반으로 영상 처리를 수행하여 상기 영상에 상응하는 초고해상도 VR 컨텐츠를 생성하고, 상기 초고해상도 VR 컨텐츠를 사용자 단말로 스트리밍한다.
