The present invention relates to a liquefied gas storage tank and a ship including the same. The liquefied gas storage tank of the present invention, wherein the liquefied gas storage tank for storing an ultralow temperature substance comprises a primary barrier, a primary insulation wall, a secondary barrier and a secondary insulation wall, and the primary insulation wall includes a connection insulation wall provided in a space between adjacent fixed insulation walls in a state in which unit elements formed by the stacking of the secondary insulation wall, the secondary barrier and a fixed insulation wall which is part of the primary insulation wall are placed adjacent to each other, can include: a first positive stepped part formed on a side of the fixed insulation walls facing the connection insulation wall; a first negative stepped part formed on a side of the connection insulation walls facing the fixed insulation walls; a first slit formed by overlapping the first negative stepped part on the first positive stepped part when the connection insulation wall is inserted and installed between the adjacent fixed insulation walls; and a first insulation pad attached onto the first positive stepped part, and pressed by the first negative stepped part to block a space part of the first slit, while kept unattached on the connection insulation wall, when the connection insulation wall is installed between the adjacent fixed insulation walls.
