The present invention relates to a method and a system for generating a table by analyzing an image. According to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: receiving an image including a table; specifying a table area where the table is located in the image on the basis of feature information included in the image; extracting a text included in the image, and location information on the text in the image; specifying a plurality of cells included in the table area on the basis of the location information on the text; and specifying a structure of the table on the basis of a relationship between the cells. Therefore, more meaningful data can be extracted and secured. 본 발명은 이미지에 대한 분석을 수행하여 테이블을 생성하는 방법 및 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 테이블 인식 방법은, 테이블(table)을 포함하는 이미지를 수신하는 단계, 상기 이미지에 포함된 특징 정보에 기반하여, 상기 이미지에서 상기 테이블이 위치하는 테이블 영역을 특정하는 단계, 상기 이미지에 포함된 텍스트 및 상기 이미지에서의 상기 텍스트의 위치 정보를 추출하는 단계, 상기 텍스트의 위치 정보에 기반하여, 상기 테이블 영역에 포함된 복수의 셀들을 특정하는 단계 및 상기 복수의 셀들 간의 관계성에 근거하여, 상기 테이블의 구조를 특정하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
