Summary: | A catalyst according to the present invention comprises: a metal nitride compound containing a transition metal as a main component so that a large amount of ammonia can be synthesized even at a much lower temperature or under low energy compared to a conventional Haber-Bosch process or an electrochemical synthesis method, and eco-friendly ammonia which does not generate impurities such as carbon dioxide can be synthesized by using water and air at the same time. In addition, the catalyst consumes much less energy than an electrical synthesis method and does not use an electrode so that there is no worry of corrosion and the generation of additional impurities can be suppressed.
본 발명에 따른 촉매는 전이금속을 포함하는 금속질화합물을 주 성분으로 포함함으로써 기존의 하버-보쉬 합성법(Haber-Bosch process)이나 전기화학적 합성법에 비해 훨씬 낮은 온도에서나 낮은 에너지 하에서도 대량의 암모니아 합성이 가능하며, 동시에 물과 공기를 이용하여 이산화탄소 등과 같은 불순물이 생성되지 않는 친환경적인 암모니아를 합성이 가능하다는 장점을 가진다. 또한 전기적인 합성법에 비해서도 훨씬 에너지 소모도 적을뿐더러 전극을 사용하지 않기 때문에 부식의 염려도 없으며 추가적인 불순물의 생성을 억제할 수 있다. |
