Summary: | Provided is a vacuum evacuation method for solving problems associated with the introduction of an inert gas while suppressing the generation of by-products. The evacuation method includes: a raising step of raising the rotation speed of a vacuum pump device (DP) to a predetermined stable speed after activating the vacuum pump device (DP); and a gas introduction step of introducing an inert gas into the vacuum pump device (DP) after the rotation speed of the vacuum pump device (DP) reaches a stable speed.
