Summary:The present invention relates to an optically adjustable device comprising a volume and a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) membrane. The membrane limits the volume at least partially. The volume is filled with a silicon-based polymer of the formula 1. R1 is an alkyl moiety, -(CH2)-phenyl, phenyl, CF3, or alkyl-CN moiety. R2 to R8 are -H, alkyl, (CH2)-phenyl or phenyl moiety. The polymer can optionally be substituted by -F. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the polymer in the optically adjustable device.
