The present invention relates to a cleaning aid for laundry and a manufacturing method thereof. The cleaning aid for the laundry of the present invention comprises: a plurality of first cleaning members; and an encapsulation member in which a first cleaning member is accommodated, and which has a plurality of through holes having a diameter smaller than that of the first cleaning member. The first cleaning member may include: a core containing a first metal which reacts with water and generating hydrogen; and an anti-oxidation film made of a second metal containing the first metal which is coated on the surface of the core and preventing oxidation of the core.
