The present invention relates to a rotary rock splitter which can reduce the process by splitting rock while rotating as required and a method for splitting rock using the rotary rock splitter. According to one aspect of the present invention, provided is a rotary rock splitter comprising a base unit provided to be detachably coupled to an excavator; a cylinder unit rotatably provided under the base unit and providing hydraulic pressure by receiving a fluid from the outside; a piston unit movably embedded in the cylinder and moved by the hydraulic pressure to one or the other side along the length of the cylinder unit; a plurality of rock splitting guide units provided on one end of the cylinder unit to be able to protrude and to be inserted in an excavated hole of rock, and arranged at an interval while facing each other; a rock splitting unit connected to the piston unit to move along with the piston unit, arranged between the rock splitting guide units while having inclined surfaces formed on both sides thereof, and splitting the rock by increasing the distance between the rock splitting guide units by the inclined surfaces when penetrating into the excavated hole; and a rotating unit provided in the base unit to rotate the cylinder unit. 본 발명은 회전식 암석 스플리터 및 그 회전식 암석 스플리터를 이용한 암석 쪼개기 공법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일측면에 따르면, 굴삭기에 착탈 가능하게 결합되도록 제공되는 베이스부; 상기 베이스부의 하부에 회전 가능하게 제공되고, 외부로부터 유체를 전달받아 유압력을 제공하는 실린더부; 상기 실린더부에 이동 가능하게 내장되며, 유압력에 의해 상기 실린더부의 길이 방향을 따라 일측 또는 타측으로 이동되는 피스톤부; 상기 실린더부의 일단에 돌출 가능하게 제공되어 암석의 천공홀에 삽입되며, 서로 마주보면서 이격 배치되는 복수 개의 할암유도부; 상기 피스톤부에 연결되어 상기 피스톤부와 함께 이동되며, 양측으로 경사면이 형성된 상태로 상기 할암유도부의 사이에 배치되어 상기 천공홀 내부로 침투시 상기 경사면에 의해 상기 할암유도부의 이격 거리를 증대시켜 암반을 쪼개는 할암부; 및 상기 실린더부를 회전시키기 위해 상기 베이스부에 제공되는 회전유닛;을 포함하는, 회전식 암석 스플리터가 제공될 수 있다.
