Summary:The present invention relates to an oxygen generation reaction catalyst for seawater electrolysis and a preparation method thereof, and more specifically, to an oxygen generation reaction catalyst for seawater electrolysis comprising a metal oxide having an atomic-scale gap and a preparation method thereof. When the oxygen generation reaction catalyst for seawater electrolysis of the present invention is used at the anode during seawater electrolysis, the oxygen generation reaction catalyst exhibits the effect of generating oxygen by selectively proceeding an oxygen generation reaction more predominantly between a chlorine generation reaction and the oxygen generation reaction which can occur at the anode. 본 발명은 해수 전기분해용 산소발생반응 촉매 및 이의 제조방법, 구체적으로는 원자-단위 간극(atomic-scale gap)이 형성된 금속 산화물을 포함하는 해수 전기분해용 산소발생반응 촉매 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 해수 전기분해용 산소발생반응 촉매는 해수 전기분해시 양극에 사용되는 경우, 양극에서 일어날 수 있는 염소발생반응과 산소발생반응 중 선택적으로 산소발생반응을 더 우세하게 진행시켜 산소를 생성할 수 있는 효과를 나타낸다.
