Summary:The present invention relates to a method for rehabilitating old water and sewage pipes, and more specifically, to a method for rehabilitating old water and sewage pipes, configured to rehabilitate old water and sewage pipes that have been buried so as to extend the lifetime thereof. The present invention comprises the steps of: a) inserting a surface modification device into an existing pipe; and b) forming, by the surface modification device inserted into the existing pipe, a surface modification layer on an inner surface of the existing pipe. In step b), the surface modification device is provided to form the surface modification layer by performing a friction stirring process on the inner surface of the existing pipe. 본 발명은 노후 상하수도관의 갱생 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 기존에 매설되어 노후된 상하수도관을 갱생하여 수명을 연장시키기 위한 노후 상하수도관의 갱생 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 구성은 a) 기설관 내부에 표면개질장치가 삽입되는 단계; 및 b) 상기 기설관 내부에 삽입된 상기 표면개질장치에 의해 상기 기설관 내부 표면에 표면개질층이 형성되는 단계를 포함하며, 상기 b) 단계에서, 상기 표면개질장치는 상기 기설관 내부 표면에 마찰 교반 프로세스를 수행하여 표면개질층을 형성하도록 마련된 것을 특징으로 하는 노후 상하수도관의 갱생 방법을 제공한다.
