The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for bus operation management. The bus operation management apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a traffic signal collection unit collecting traffic signal control information from an intersection traffic light; a vehicle location detecting unit detecting a vehicle location in real time by receiving location information from a vehicle; an operation information determining unit determining operation information for improving the punctuality of the vehicle based on the vehicle location and the traffic signal control information; and a display control unit generating a control signal for operation information display control based on the operation information. 본 개시는 버스 운행 관리 장치 및 방법을 제공한다. 본 개시의 일 측면에 의하면, 교차로 신호기의 교통신호 제어정보(traffic signal control information)를 수집하는 교통신호 수집부(traffic signal collection unit); 차량으로부터 위치정보를 수신하여 실시간으로 차량위치를 감지하는 차량위치 감지부(vehicle location detecting unit); 상기 차량위치 및 상기 교통신호 제어정보를 기초로 상기 차량의 정시성 향상을 위한 운행정보를 결정하는 운행정보 결정부(operation information determining unit); 및 상기 운행정보를 기초로 운행정보 표시장치(operation information display)를 제어하기 위한 제어신호를 생성하는 표시장치 제어부(display control unit)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 버스 운행관리 장치를 제공한다.
