The present invention relates to an organic matter treatment system for storage and treatment of food waste or other organic matter. The organic matter treatment system of the present invention includes: an inlet unit formed into a vertical passage through which organic matter is introduced; a treatment unit having an internal space in which the organic matter passed through the inlet unit is stored; and a discharge unit serving as a passage through which the organic matter decomposed in the treatment unit is discharged. According to the present invention, an acidic decomposition step and a methane decomposition step of the organic matter are integrated into one container, so that a compact treatment system with reduced decomposition time and increased space utilization can be manufactured. 본 발명은 음식물 쓰레기 또는 기타 유기물의 저장과 처리를 위한 유기물 처리 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 유기물 처리 시스템은 유기물을 유입시키는 수직의 통로로 형성된 유입부와, 상기 유입부를 통과한 유기물이 저장되는 내부 공간이 마련된 처리부 및 상기 처리부에서 분해된 유기물이 배출되는 통로인 배출부를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 유기물의 산성분해 단계와 메탄 분해 단계가 하나의 컨테이너에 통합되어 분해 시간이 절감되고, 공간 활용성이 증대된 컴팩트한 처리 시스템을 제작할 수 있다.
