Summary:The present invention relates to a position detecting system for a tram vehicle and a method for controlling the operation of a tram vehicle using the same, and more particularly, to a position detecting system for a tram vehicle, which can quickly detect a real-time position of a tram vehicle by detecting position display devices buried in a road surface in various patterns, and can efficiently control the operation of the tram vehicle by linking detected location information of the tram vehicle with an alarm system, and a method for controlling the operation of a tram vehicle using the same. 본 발명은 트램차량용 위치검지 시스템 및 이를 이용한 트램차량의 운행 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 노면에 다양한 패턴으로 매설되는 위치표시장치를 감지하여 트램차량의 실시간 위치를 신속하게 검지할 수 있도록 하고, 검지된 트램차량의 위치 정보를 경보시스템과 연동하여 트램차량의 운행을 효율적으로 제어할 수 있도록 하는 트램차량용 위치검지 시스템 및 이를 이용한 트램차량의 운행 제어 방법에 관한 것이다.
