Summary:Disclosed are a method and apparatus for quantifying mental stress using the measurement of displeasure and emotional arousal levels based on biological signals. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for quantifying mental stress using the measurement of displeasure and emotional arousal levels based on biological signals includes: measuring an emotional arousal level associated with the brainwaves of a subject; measuring a pleasure-to-displeasure level of the subject; and if the emotional arousal level changes in the same direction as physical arousal associated with the autonomic nervous system of the subject, evaluating the mental stress of the subject using the emotional arousal level and the pleasure-to-discomfort level. 생체신호 기반 불쾌도 및 감성적 각성도 측정을 이용한 정신적 스트레스 정량화 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른, 생체신호 기반 불쾌도 및 감성적 각성도 측정을 이용한 정신적 스트레스 정량화 방법은, 대상자의 뇌파와 연관되는 감성적 각성도를 측정하는 단계; 상기 대상자에 대한 쾌-불쾌 정도를 측정하는 단계; 및 상기 감성적 각성도가, 상기 대상자의 자율신경계와 연관되는 육체적 각성도와 동일한 방향으로 변화하면, 상기 감성적 각성도와 상기 쾌-불쾌 정도를 이용하여, 상기 대상자가 갖는 정신적 스트레스를 평가하는 단계를 포함한다.
