A method for managing a carbon credit and an apparatus thereof are disclosed. The method, performed by the carbon credit management apparatus, comprises the steps of: inviting a plurality of participants who apply a carbon reduction method; if receiving carbon reduction activity content from the plurality of participants, calculating the total amount of carbon reduction for the plurality of participants by using a carbon reduction calculation method predefined for each carbon reduction method; generating a business plan in a predefined format using the carbon reduction activity content input by the plurality of participants, and then if receiving a business approval from the environmental corporation based thereon, generating a monitoring report on the carbon reduction activity for a set period; and acquiring a carbon credit for the carbon reduction of the plurality of participants based on the monitoring report.
