Summary:Disclosed are an engine torque control system for a vehicle and a method thereof. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the engine torque control system for a vehicle, which employs an autonomous driving or automatic parking function, includes: a driving information detection part collecting driving information from various sensors and controllers in accordance with the driving of the vehicle to detect an autonomous driving/automatic parking mode; an electronic stability control (ESC) performing brake control in accordance with a control variable requested during operation in the autonomous driving/automatic parking mode and transmitting actual brake pressure information to a CAN; and an engine management system (EMS) controlling engine torque by using a brake pedal sensor (BPS) signal collected as the driving information during normal driving, while controlling the engine torque by using the brake pressure information of the ESC received through the CAN in a low-speed driving condition of the autonomous driving/automatic parking mode. Therefore, the present invention is capable of improving drivability and enabling a smooth start. 차량의 엔진 토크 제어 시스템 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른, 자율주행 혹은 자동주차 기능이 적용된 차량의 엔진 토크 제어 시스템은, 차량의 운행에 따른 각종 센서 및 제어기로부터 운전정보를 수집하여 자율주행/자동주차 모드를 검출하는 운전정보 검출부, 자율주행/자동주차 모드로 동작 중에 요청된 제어량 만큼 브레이크 제어를 실시하고 실제 브레이크 압력정보를 캔(CAN)으로 송신하는 ESC(Electronic Stability Control), 일반 주행 시 상기 운전정보로 수집된 브레이크 페달 센서(Brake pedal Sensor, BPS) 신호를 이용하여 엔진 토크를 제어하되, 상기 자율주행/주차 모드의 저속 주행 조건에서는 CAN을 통해 수신한 상기 ESC의 브레이크 압력정보를 이용하여 엔진 토크를 제어하는 EMS(Engine Management System)를 포함한다.
