Summary:The present specification relates to a fingerprint recognition smart card and an activation method therefor. The fingerprint recognition smart card includes: a fingerprint sensor embedded in a plate and provided on one side of the front or rear surface of the smart card; a storage unit for storing fingerprint information data and card information registered by a user; a display unit for displaying at least a portion of the card information; and a control unit for controlling an operation of the display unit according to whether fingerprint recognition data obtained by of the fingerprint sensor matches the fingerprint recognition data stored in the storage unit, wherein, after the smart card is activated by fingerprint recognition, information displayed on the display unit, in particular, that of a card authentication code and a card number, is displayed simultaneously or sequentially. Therefore, it is possible to prevent illegal use by improving security of smart cards in contact and non-contact as well as non-face-to-face payments. 본 명세서는 지문인식 스마트카드 및 그 활성화 방법에 관한 것으로, 상기 지문인식 스마트 카드는 플레이트에 내장 구비되며, 상기 스마트 카드의 전면 또는 후면 일측면에 마련된 지문센서; 사용자에 의해 등록된 지문정보데이터 및 카드정보를 저장하는 저장부; 상기 카드정보의 적어도 일부를 표시하는 디스플레이부; 및 상기 지문센서에 의해 획득한 지문인식데이터와 상기 저장부에 저장된 지문인식데이터의 일치여부에 따라 상기 디스플레이부의 동작을 제어하는 제어부를 포함하고, 상기 스마트 카드가 지문인식으로 활성화 된 이후 디스플레이부에 표시하는 정보, 특히 카드인증 코드와 카드번호를 동시 표기하거나 차례로 표시하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
