Summary: | The present invention relates to a negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium secondary battery including the same, wherein the negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery includes: a porous core in which flaky nano-silicon fragments are connected in an entangled shape; and a shell layer surrounding the core, and the shell layer includes a carbon-based material and silicon and has a thickness of more than 10 to less than 60% based on the average particle diameter (D50) of the negative electrode active material.
