The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for processing intersection traffic information of a vehicle using an electronic map, which can select unnecessary data irrelevant to a location of the vehicle and promptly process valid traffic information data by matching traffic information of an intersection acquired through V2X communication with the location of the vehicle accurately recognized by the electronic map. According to the present invention, the method for processing traffic information comprises: a step of acquiring driving lane location information of the vehicle from the electronic map; a step of receiving traffic information of the intersection from a roadside apparatus installed on the intersection; and a step of selecting assignment information for each lane from traffic information where lane location information acquired from traffic information corresponds with the driving lane location information. 본 발명은 V2X 통신을 통해 취득되는 교차로의 교통정보를 전자지도로 정확하게 인식되는 차량의 위치와 매칭시켜 처리함으로써, 차량의 위치와 상관없는 불필요한 데이터를 선별하여 유효한 교통정보 데이터를 신속하게 처리할 수 있는 교통정보 처리방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 차량의 교통정보 처리방법은, 차량의 주행차선 위치정보를 전자지도로부터 획득하는 단계, 교차로에 설치된 노변장치로부터 교차로의 교통정보를 수신하는 단계 및, 교통정보로부터 획득한 차선 위치정보가 주행차선 위치정보와 일치하는 교통정보로부터 차선별 할당정보를 선별하는 단계를 포함한다.
