Summary:A golf club head with an improved striking surface is disclosed. More specifically, the present invention relates to a striking surface of a golf club head comprising: one or more thickened central regions located adjacent to an "over-performance region" thereon; a thinned peripheral region located around the perimeter of the striking surface; and a transition region transitioning from each of the one or more thickened central regions toward the thinned perimeter region. The improved striking surface may be made of a material with high strength and low hardness, such as ATI-425®. 골프 클럽 헤드의 개선된 타격면이 개시된다. 더 구체적으로, 본 발명은 타격면 상의 "과잉 성능 영역" 부근에 위치되는 하나 이상의 후육화된 중앙 영역, 타격면의 둘레 주위에 위치되는 박육화된 둘레 부분, 및 하나 이상의 후육화된 중앙 영역 각각으로부터 박육화된 둘레 부분을 향해서 천이되는 천이 영역을 갖는 타격면에 관한 것이다. 개선된 타격면은 ATI-425®와 같은 높은 강도 및 작은 경도를 갖는 재료로 이루어질 수 있다.
