An image sensing device according to one embodiment of the present technology includes: a semiconductor substrate including a pixel region in which a plurality of unit pixels are formed, and a pixel array peripheral region positioned outside the pixel region; an overcoat layer positioned on the semiconductor substrate in the pixel region and the pixel array peripheral region and having a first trench etched to a predetermined depth in the pixel array peripheral region; a lens layer positioned on the overcoat layer in the pixel region; and a lens capping layer positioned on the lens layer and the overcoat layer and having an edge region buried in the first trench. 본 기술의 일 실시예에 따른 이미지 센싱 장치는 복수의 유닛 픽셀들이 형성되는 픽셀 영역 및 상기 픽셀 영역의 외곽에 위치하는 픽셀 어레이 주변 영역을 포함하는 반도체 기판, 상기 픽셀 영역 및 상기 픽셀 어레이 주변 영역에서 상기 반도체 기판 상부에 위치하며 상기 픽셀 어레이 주변 영역에 일정 깊이만큼 식각된 제 1 트렌치가 형성된 오버 코팅층, 상기 픽셀 영역에서 상기 오버 코팅층 상부에 위치하는 렌즈층 및 상기 렌즈층 및 상기 오버 코팅층 상부에 위치하며, 에지 영역이 상기 제 1 트렌치에 매립되는 렌즈 캡핑층을 포함할 수 있다.
