Summary:The present invention provides a heat-resistant felt material and a preparation method thereof, wherein the heat-resistant felt material is prevented from being broken during needling and has high heat resistance and high durability. The heat-resistant felt material comprises: a base material layer having at least one layer of a base material; and a laminated web layer having at least one layer of a laminated web, wherein the laminated web layer is integrally entangled with adjacent layers of the base material layer by needling on the outer surface of the base material layer. The base material comprises a base cloth which has filaments containing one or more fibers selected from the group consisting of aromatic polyamide fibers and poly (p-phenylene benzoxazole) fibers, and the density of the base cloth is 0.60 g/cm^3 or less.
