Provided are an object area detecting method capable of further speeding up analysis such as object recognition, tracking, or the like, and a computer program thereof. 본 발명은 객체영역 검출방법, 장치 및 이에 대한 컴퓨터 프로그램에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 영상 디코딩 과정에서 도출되는 파라미터값에 기초하여 예비적으로 객체영역을 검출하여, 이를 영상분석에 참조함으로써, 보다 객체인식, 추적 등의 분석을 더욱 고속화할 수 있는 객체영역 검출방법, 장치 및 이에 대한 컴퓨터 프로그램에 관한 것이다.
