Summary:Disclosed are a display apparatus capable of providing a user with a flat screen even when folded by a predetermined angle, and a control method thereof. The display apparatus includes: a sensor; a display; and a processor which generates a virtual flat screen based on the angle of the display determined through the sensor, corrects the size of content based on the distance between the virtual flat screen and the display, projects the corrected content on a virtual space, maps the content projected on the space to the virtual flat screen, and renders the virtual flat screen to which the content is mapped to display the same on the display. 디스플레이 장치가 개시된다. 본 디스플레이 장치는 센서, 디스플레이 및 센서를 통해 판단된 디스플레이의 각도에 기초하여 가상의 평면 화면을 생성하고, 가상의 평면 화면 및 디스플레이간의 거리에 기초하여 컨텐츠의 크기를 보정하며, 보정된 컨텐츠를 가상의 공간에 투영하고, 가상의 공간에 투영된 컨텐츠를 가상의 평면 화면에 매핑하며, 컨텐츠가 매핑된 가상의 평면 화면을 렌더링하여 디스플레이에 표시하는 프로세서를 포함한다.
