Disclosed is a method in which a terminal dynamically applies a battery saving technology. The method for applying a dynamic battery saving technology includes the steps of: transmitting a first message requesting the activation of a dynamic battery saving technology service to an authentication server; receiving a second message that is a response to the first message from the authentication server; transmitting and receiving data with a base station in the inactive state of the battery saving technology when response information included in the second message includes authentication success, and at least one application included in the second message is running; and maintaining the active state of the battery saving technology when the application included in the second message is not running.
