Summary:The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for selective excitation of higher-order mode plate waves in a finite width plate. The apparatus for selective excitation includes a first ultrasonic wedge for injecting ultrasonic waves input from a piezoelectric element through a bottom surface in contact with one surface of the finite width plate; and a second ultrasonic wedge for injecting ultrasonic waves input from the piezoelectric element through the bottom surface in contact with the other surface of the finite width plate. On the bottom surfaces of the first ultrasonic wedge and the second ultrasonic wedge, a slit pattern for shielding an antinode of the same phase is formed differently based on a specific plate wave mode in the width direction, and a specific plate wave is generated through ultrasonic waves incident on the bottom surface where each slit pattern is formed. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a technique for selectively excitation of a specific higher-order mode plate wave in a finite width using an ultrasonic transducer having a single piezoelectric element. According to an embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to select and excite a specific widthwise higher-order mode plate wave from a finite width plate. According to an embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to excite a plate wave signal of a specific mode having a large amplitude with a relatively simple structure using a single piezoelectric element. 본 발명은 유한 너비 판에서 고차 모드 판파의 선택적 가진 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 선택적 가진 장치는 유한 너비 판의 일면에 접촉되는 바닥면을 통해 압전 소자로부터 입력받은 초음파를 입사시키는 제1 초음파 웨지, 그리고 유한 너비 판의 타면에 접촉되는 바닥면을 통해 압전 소자로부터 입력받은 초음파를 입사시키는 제2 초음파 웨지를 포함하고, 제1 초음파 웨지와 제2 초음파 웨지의 바닥면에는 너비 방향의 특정 판파 모드에 기초하여 동위상의 안티노드를 차폐시키는 슬릿 문양이 각각 상이하게 형성되고, 각각의 슬릿 문양이 형성된 바닥면으로 입사시킨 초음파를 통해 특정 판파를 발생시킨다.
