The discharge device comprises: a discharge opening; an opening and closing member provided to open and close the discharge opening; a plurality of discharge holes smaller than the discharge opening; and a discharge unit of which an area capable of discharging air is variably provided. One aspect of the present invention provides the air purifier which can discharge purified air in various directions. 공기청정기가 개시된다. 개시된 공기청정기는 흡입구를 갖는 본체, 및 상기 흡입구를 통해 유입된 공기를 배출하도록 상기 본체에 장착되는 배출장치를 포함하며, 상기 배출장치는 배출 개구, 상기 배출 개구를 개폐 가능하도록 마련되는 개폐 부재, 및 상기 배출 개구보다 작은 크기의 복수의 배출 홀을 포함하며, 공기 배출이 가능한 면적이 가변적으로 마련되는 배출부를 포함한다.
