The present invention relates to a method for preparing hepatitis A virus and hepatitis A virus prepared thereby and, more specifically, to a method for preparing hepatitis A virus, which comprises a step of infecting host cells with virus obtained by transforming the host cells with a vector, which contains an expression cassette for preparing hepatitis A virus including a hepatitis A virus gene and subculturing the infected host cells, and hepatitis A virus prepared thereby. According to the present invention, the method can produce hepatitis A virus that stably amplifies within a short period of time, thereby being usefully utilized in manufacture of a hepatitis A vaccine. 본 발명은 A형 간염 바이러스의 생산방법 및 이 방법에 따라 생산된 A형 간염 바이러스에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 A형 간염 바이러스 유전자를 포함하는 A형 간염 바이러스 제조용 발현 카세트(Expression cassette)를 포함하는 벡터로 숙주세포를 형질전환하여 얻어진 바이러스를 숙주세포에 감염시켜 계대 배양하는 단계를 포함하는 A형 간염 바이러스 생산방법 및 이 방법에 따라 생산된 A형 간염 바이러스에 관한 것이다. 본 발명이 제공하는 A형 간염 바이러스 제조방법에 따르면 짧은 기간 내에 안정적으로 증폭하는 A형 간염 바이러스를 제조할 수 있어, A형 간염 백신 제조에 매우 유용하게 활용될 수 있다.
