The present invention relates to a preparing method of pellets for purifying air, which enables press-molding of pellets adsorbing and filtering foreign materials, such as fine dust, contained in the indoor air. The method according to the present invention is applied to carrying out press-molding of carbon pellets by using a carbon pellet molding device, which includes: an upper press elevated/dropped by the operation of a first operating unit; a molding frame having an opening to which a pellet material is introduced; a lower press elevated/dropped by the operation of a second operating unit and configured to separate carbon pellets from the molding frame; and a heater mounted to the upper press, the molding frame and the lower press.
