Summary:The present disclosure relates to a communication technique that combines a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G system with IoT technology, and a system thereof. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, healthcare, digital education, retail businesses, security and safety-related services, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. In addition, the present disclosure provides the method and device for reducing terminal power consumption in the wireless communication system. The method includes the steps of: receiving a first control signal transmitted from a base station; processing a received first control signal; and transmitting a second control signal generated based on the processing to the base station. 본 개시는 4G 시스템 이후 보다 높은 데이터 전송률을 지원하기 위한 5G 통신 시스템을 IoT 기술과 융합하는 통신 기법 및 그 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 개시는 5G 통신 기술 및 IoT 관련 기술을 기반으로 지능형 서비스 (예를 들어, 스마트 홈, 스마트 빌딩, 스마트 시티, 스마트 카 혹은 커넥티드 카, 헬스 케어, 디지털 교육, 소매업, 보안 및 안전 관련 서비스 등)에 적용될 수 있다. 또한, 본 개시는 무선 통신 시스템에서 단말 전력 소모 감소 방법 및 장치를 제공한다.
