The present invention relates to an antioxidant composition comprising silkworm pupa and red ginseng extracts and, more particularly, to an antioxidant food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical composition or quasi-drug composition comprising the silkworm pupa and red ginseng extracts. The silkworm pupa and red ginseng extracts according to the present invention increase the polyphenol content and exhibit ABTS radical and DPPH radical scavenging activity, thereby being variously used in the fields of anti-oxidation drugs, food, cosmetics, and quasi-drugs. 본 발명은 누에 번데기 및 홍삼추출물을 포함하는 항산화용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 상기 누에 번데기 및 홍삼 추출물을 포함하는 항산화용 식품, 화장료, 약학적 조성물 또는 의약외품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 누에 번데기 및 홍삼추출물은 폴리페놀 함량 증가 및 ABTS 라디칼, DPPH 라디칼 소거 활성을 나타내는 바, 항산화 목적의 의약품, 식품, 화장품, 의약외품 분야에 다양하게 활용될 수 있다.
