According to a technical sprit of the present invention, a substrate bonding apparatus for bonding a first substrate and a second substrate comprises: a first bonding chuck configured to fix a first substrate onto a first surface; a second bonding chuck configured to fix a second substrate onto a second surface facing the first surface; a process gas spray device surrounding at least one of the first bonding chuck and the second bonding chuck and configured to spray a process gas between the first substrate and the second substrate; and an air curtain generating device disposed outside the process gas spray device and configured to spray an air curtain forming gas for forming an air curtain surrounding the first substrate and the second substrate. 본 개시의 기술적 사상에 따른 제1 기판과 제2 기판을 본딩하는 기판 본딩 장치는, 제1 면 상에 상기 제1 기판을 고정시키도록 구성된 제1 본딩 척; 상기 제1 면과 마주보는 제2 면 상에 상기 제2 기판을 고정시키도록 구성된 제2 본딩 척; 상기 제1 본딩 척 및 상기 제2 본딩 척 중 적어도 어느 하나를 둘러싸고, 상기 제1 기판 및 상기 제2 기판 사이에 공정 가스를 분사하도록 구성된 공정 가스 분사 장치; 및 상기 공정 가스 분사 장치의 외측에 있고, 상기 제1 기판 및 상기 제2 기판을 둘러싸는 에어 커튼을 형성하기 위한 에어 커튼 형성용 가스를 분사하도록 구성된 에어 커튼 생성 장치;를 포함한다.
