Summary:A water demand forecasting method applicable to a smart city is provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the water demand forecasting method comprises the following steps of: allowing an IoT terminal to collect measurement data about a water level or flow rate in a time series form; allowing the IoT terminal to transmit the collected measurement data to a server; and allowing the server to apply the measurement data to a forecasting algorithm to generate water demand forecasting information. Accordingly, it is possible to contribute to an operation of water resource infrastructure such as water treatment facilities and water supply facilities through accurate water resource demand forecasting. 스마트시티에 적용가능한 물수요 예측 방법이 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 스마트시티 물수요 예측 방법은, IoT 단말이 수위 또는 유량에 대한 측정 데이터를 시계열 형태로 수집하는 단계; IoT 단말이, 수집된 측정 데이터를 서버로 전달하는 단계; 및 서버가 측정 데이터를 예측 알고리즘에 적용하여, 물수요 예측 정보를 생성하는 단계;를 포함한다. 이에 의해, 정확한 물자원 수요예측을 통해, 정수처리시설 및 물공급 시설 등 물자원 인프라의 운영에 기여할 수 있다.
