The present invention relates to a base coating composition comprising an acrylic resin and a cellulose-based resin, wherein the acrylic resin has a glass transition temperature of 30 to 70℃ and a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 40,000 g/mol. The present invention provides the base coating composition which has excellent coating workability, and in which a coating layer formed by using the composition has excellent appearance characteristics, adhesion properties, water resistance and weather resistance. 본 발명은 아크릴 수지 및 셀룰로오스계 수지를 포함하고, 상기 아크릴 수지는 유리전이온도가 30 내지 70 ℃이고 중량평균분자량이 10,000 내지 40,000 g/mol인, 베이스 도료 조성물에 관한 것이다.
