The present invention relates to a film forming apparatus and a film forming method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the film forming apparatus comprises: a processing room; a rotary table placed in the processing room, and having a substrate loading area for loading a substrate in a circumferential direction on an upper surface; a raw material gas supply unit placed on an upper side of the rotary table to be extended in a radius direction of the rotary table; a plurality of auxiliary gas supply units placed on an upper side of the rotary table in a downstream side in the rotary direction of the rotary table against the raw material gas supply unit, and placed in the radius direction of the rotary table at regular intervals; and a gas exhaust unit placed on an upper side of the rotary table in a downstream side in the rotary direction of the rotary table against the auxiliary gas supply unit to be extended in the radius direction of the rotary table.
