The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition for inhibiting cancer metastasis containing kalkitoxin thioamide alcohol or a salt thereof as an active component. A composition of the present invention contains kalkitoxin thioamide alcohol or the salt thereof as the active component to control signal transmission related to cell mobility or invasiveness, such as regulation of expression of E-cadherin, β-catenin, and α-SMA, and regulation of phosphorylation of AKT and ERK, and to effectively inhibit cancer metastasis by inhibiting osteoclast differentiation by cancer cells. 본 발명은 칼키톡신 티오아마이드 알코올 또는 이의 염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 암전이 억제용 약학 조성물 및 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조성물은 칼키톡신 티오아마이드 알코올 또는 이의 염을 유효성분으로 함유함으로써 E-cadherin, β-catenin, α-SMA의 발현 조절, AKT 및 ERK의 인산화 조절 등과 같은 세포의 이동성 또는 침윤성과 관련된 신호전달을 조절하고, 암세포에 의한 파골세포 분화를 저해하여 암전이를 효과적으로 억제할 수 있다.
