Provided is a self-propelled chemical spraying machine which improves convenience or safety of a braking mechanism of a spray boom. The self-propelled chemical spraying machine comprises: a travelling vehicle body (A); an operation part (a6); a chemical spraying part (b1) configured to move up and down by extension/contraction of an elevation cylinder (b21); an accumulator (U) connected to the elevation cylinder (b21); an opening/closing valve (u1) configured to open and close a passage for communicating the elevation cylinder (b21) and the accumulator (U); and a control part (C) configured to control the extension/contraction of the elevation cylinder (b21) or the opening/closing of the opening/closing valve (u1) by acquiring operation information of the operation part (a6). The operation part (a6) includes a key switch for turning on the self-propelled chemical spraying machine. The control part (C) performs opening control of the opening/closing valve (u1) on condition that the key switch is turned on, and performs closing control of the opening/closing valve (u1) on condition that the key switch is turned off.
