Summary: | The present invention relates to a production method of a positive electrode active material, comprising the steps of: dry-mixing lithium composite transition metal oxide with polyimide precursor particles; and forming a polyimide coating layer having a glass transition temperature, Tg, of 300°C or less on the lithium composite transition metal oxide by heat-treating the mixture, wherein the heat treatment is performed at a temperature equal to or higher than the glass transition temperature, Tg, of the polyimide coating layer and, more specifically, to a production method of a positive electrode active material, capable of improving service life characteristics of the positive electrode active material.
